The hotel is a great value when many other hotels in Rome are not. You can pay a lot of money for a hotel in Rome and it will not be worth the money. The Hotel Golden has a great location- close to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. And the family who owns the hotel always has great recommendations for restaurants. We often stay in luxurious hotels around Italy but choose not to do so in Rome because you don't seem to get what you pay for. The Hotel Golden is small, quiet, and the staff is friendly which is why we choose to stay with them each time we visit Rome.
