Hotel Golden, Rome city center Italy

Lovely family run hotel located a15 minute walk to the Borghese Gallery. Giuseppe and Mario manned the desk while Mama Maria and Alina did the breakfast room. Another sister saw to the cleaning of the rooms and Papa Loria was on the desk at night. You feel that you are sharing their home not just a hotel. Located on second level of the building, reached by stairs or cage elevator. They handled our transfer from Citivecchia to the hotel as well as from the hotel to the airport. Drivers were friendly and on time with clean sedans. There are various sized rooms according to your needs or budget. We were in one of the smaller rooms but met our needs and kept spotless. There is a mini bar in the room as well. Breakfast was well prepared and cooked personally by Mama each day. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. A taxi stand and bus transportation are a block away. They also have a reasonably priced wash and fold laundry service which was appreciated after being on a cruise for a week. If you are looking for a big impersonal hotel, this is not it. If you want accommodations with a family who will try to meet your every need while being well priced, this is it.
