Hotel Golden, Rome city center Italy

We made the right choice in booking a room for four days in Hotel Golden! Great location, close to Via Veneto and next to Borghese Gardens. A small, family run hotel on a quiet, safe street.

Very clean rooms at reasonable prices and within walking distance to major attractions, metro station and bus line (buy your bus ticket in advance at nearby kiosk). The breakfast buffet had quite a good selection.

The rooms were ready in the early part of the day upon arrival from the airport and Maria gracefully received and registered us and our friends, all travel weary and with many questions.

Her brothers, Giuseppe and Marco, were most helpful and we were impressed at their quick responses to our many e-mail inquiries already before our trip to Rome and gave us useful information while at their hotel. We would stay in Hotel Golden again without searching further for any other hotels.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
Leisurely breakfast in the cheery breakfast room with friends.

What did not meet your expectations?
Unusually small area around front desk (not that it would stop us from staying at the hotel again!).
