Panarea, Italy
Panarea is the island chosen by VIPs as a summer destination; it is lively and full of colors and lights with its boutiques, hotels and trendy nightspots.
The highest summit of the island is called Pizzo del Corvo and descends to the west with terraced cultivation of grain and olives, while the eastern side of the island is unreachable and uninhabited. The Panarea of today is only part of what once existed. A portion of it was sunken by the explosion of the volcano, forming a small archipelago of little islands: Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera and Spinazzola.
Panarea is an island entirely suited to people. Here, cars cannot circulate, with the exception of electrical vehicles that transport tourists and merchandise.
San Pietro is the only port and the heart of Panarea, a myriad of white houses set in a semicircle, immersed in variegated nature among between hibiscus and bougainvillea plants. The life and the movements of the island are concentrated here.
