Hotel Villa Angela, Taormina Italy

The leonardo da vinci room was out of this world, with a large jacuzzi bath, two balconies with a great view of mount Etna, the accommodation lived up to our expectations. The hotel is situated half way up a steep hill but a shuttle bus is provided to transport you to the nearby village of Taormina wich has lots of traditional restaurants and the locals are extremely friendly. the walk to the village takes around 15 minutes(on the downward journey) and around 30 minutes to return to the hotel(depending on how fit you are and how many rest stops required) but the walk is worth the effort as you can take in the wonderful views and get a better picture of local life.The staff at the hotel were extremely courteous and very helpful especially Katharine at the reception who made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning some day soon i hope.
